Insect ATC

My group is having another swap, this time
the theme is insects. So a few techniques
are required. Started with a Bazzil Base edged
in Gold and topped that with an alcohol inked
glossy paper on which I stamped a number
of insects: bee, butterflies, ant, beetle and a
lady bug, edged with layer with a brown
chalk ink...I printed on clear acetate the
definition of insects and adhered to the base
with copper eyelets, added my backer with
info and an ATC was created. Can't wait to
see what the other ladies have done....have to cool my jets for a
few weeks till the hostess has them all and trades them out!
Enjoy

Summer Challenge ~ Feathers

I posted the lovely papers and images
that our group leader sent us to create
our Challenge cards almost as soon as I
got them.....

After some consideration, here is what I created.
I just loved the womam in the image....a bunch of
copies later and here she is. Lots of Layers, glossy
accents, flower soft a feather and some glitz and
I thought she came out pretty well!

Summer Challenge ATC Group

I posted a while ago that our group leader in
my ATC Group sent us these amazing
images to be used in a Summer Vintage
Blue & White Challenge. Everyone who
participates gets the same materials and
we create ATC's to return to the hostess/
leader and she distributes to the group.

I always find it interesting to see what
people will do with the same materials.

I was very excited to receive these. Loved
the colors and the subject!

It was very difficult to try and choose which
images to pick.

Since I am an assembly line type of
person when it comes to making these
ATC's or any ATC's for that matter,
I chose two images that I absolutely
loved above all the rest and created
"The Lady & the Vamp" I used the
the additional papers that were sent
and added my additional embellishments
and my ATC was created.

These beauties were what the other
ladies created! Loved them the are
so artful and isn't it interesting how
everyone sees things differently when
they create!

They make great additions to my
Collection!

Chunky ATC Swap

One of my groups had a Chunky ATC Swap
not too long ago. It was something different!
a piece of 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 by 1 1/2 piece of wood
which was cut to size from a longer larger
piece of wood....then paint and decorate to your
own desire. Mine is the single one which I sent in
and the three others are the ones I got back in trade.
They look good in my craft room, wouldn't want to
trade this type of ATC too often though, storage
issues present!

Zentangle ATC Swap

This was a Zentangle ATC which I submitted for the swap. I am not much for drawing as most Zentangles are hand done.

I found a pretty example and cut out and layered and laquered and embellished and the submitted them....We

Shall see how it goes when the swap comes back! Keep you posted.

Progressive Collabrative Swap

Ocassionally we do a progressive swap...
ie: three players, first player makes the
foundation...the card....second player
makes the focal point of the card...the
third player makes the embellishments
to the card and sends one to each of her
partners.

Here is the outcome of the recent swap
we did....so beautiful...the picture doesn't
do it justice!

Can't wait for the next one!

Summer Challenge ATC 2011

My ATC Group does Challenges several times a year as I posted a few days ago showing the results.

This time I took a picture of the "goodies" that were sent to create with.

I love the Victorian feel of everything!

"Vintage Blue & White". The group leader

sent us lovely pages (6) of empheria to work with! Love it all!!! Can't wait to see what I finally decide to use. Most of the Card should have the the empheria used on it and we can

add our own special touches and embellishments!

The color is what is most impressive to me!

I love BLUE....I don't always play favorites with my colours...blue is pretty special though!

Keep you posted on what I finally decide on a come up with as a finished product.....I may just keep it simple and do an assembly line, that requires me making multiple copies of what I determine to use...hmmmmm...decisions, decisions.....

ATC Challenge February 2011

My on line ATC (Artist Trading Cards) Group does a Challenge several times a year. In February our group leader Nina, sent us a package of goodies to use, every participant gets the exact same amount and type of goodies to use. The "mission" is to create ATC's using and incorporating the goodies and adding your own additional things if you choose to. We send them back in and they are "unveiled" as soon as our leader receives all the particpants offerings. We Send in 4 and get 4 different ones back The Group of four are the ones that I received in return. I always have to make one or two of what I submit for myself, so the lone one is my creation and submission. Isn't it cool to see the spin everyone puts on the same materials?!! This is one of my favorite swaps when we do them!

The Group is always looking for new members.

Interested in joining? Check them out on Yahoo and follow the directions for joining.

You will find the link to the left here in my

blog! It's a great group of artists and they are

all so talented and fun to trade with!

Butterfly Dance

My one line group ATC Anonymous does challenges once a year. This is where the moderator or substitue moderator in this case sends everyone who signs up the exact same grouping of "stuff" we create an ATC out of the pieces adding embellishments and anything else that works for us.

Everything shown with the exception of the metal embellishments and the clay piece were included in the "stuff" which was sent....alittle imagination and a stamp which I already possessed created this ATC which was submitted.

I am looking forward to seeing what the others created for the Challenge....we submit 4 and get four back!
