I love the soft colors of this card and the many layers and angles....These are colors my Mom loved... It is blank inside so you can just add your own sentiment or a poem you have found, whatever makes you happy...something that reflects your Mom...

Mother's Day is coming....
Mother's Day is on the way....can you believe it....next weekend, Sunday to be exact...time to start working on Cards.... This is the front of a card I did a while back and is meant for Grandma.....
Open it up and the fold reveals the sentiment...fun right?! I may have to use this technique again for another type of card!
Enjoy!

Clever Illusions....
A friend sent me some pictures to amuse....I love them they are so very clever....Props and a great Moon lend themselves to a few very interesting shots. The first...no props just a person standing with the moon balancing on the tip of his finger.
This second picture has someone laying down and balancing the Moon on his feet....

Follow the Leader
Yesterday was the 226th Anniversary of John James Audubon's Birthday~how's that for trivia?
Still breaking in my new DSLR camera, or should I say breaking in myself to the usage of the camera, I took a few pictures of these Geese and Ducks.

I found them very amusing....swimming in a follow the leader style and turning their backs on me and walking away from me respectively.
Birds are very interesting and amusing at the same time!

Easter "Eggs"
My Contribution to my friend's dinner yesterday was a dessert. I purchased this cake pan in 1971 and have used it a few times over the years. These were a tribute to a childhood memory of a Bakery called 'Ebingers'. My parents used to buy us lovely treats called 'Othellos'. They were a wonderful sponge cake filled with cream and covered with glace chocolate icing and drizzled with coordinating colors. They were so good and such a treat when we were little and growing up.
Mine were Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Cream filling with Chocolate Ganache Icing drizzled with Pink and Green Chocolate.
My friends enjoyed them!

Turquoise for Summer
When Spring finally arrives....shortly behind
that we will find ourselves into the summer
with beachy water activities where we soak up
the Sun.
I always equate turquoise with getting a tan!
So get yourself ready now with a sporty or
dressy watch to accent the tan you know you will
be getting!

Progressive Collabrative Swap
Ocassionally we do a progressive swap...
ie: three players, first player makes the
foundation...the card....second player
makes the focal point of the card...the
third player makes the embellishments
to the card and sends one to each of her
partners.
Here is the outcome of the recent swap
we did....so beautiful...the picture doesn't
do it justice!
Can't wait for the next one!

Another lovely creative activity that was put on by Dylan's nursery School. The Children made their own Easter Bonnets and had fun "Parading" for their Parents, Grandparents and Friends!
Glad I got to see the "cutest little boy in Goshen" in action!

Armada of Geese
I love when I find a tranquil body of water where you can just be at peace with your thoughts & life.
This pond is in the Village of Cornwall where I was recently...
these geese just plunked down in unison with a singular splash...
they reminded me of one of the scenes in the movie "Troy" when the Trojans discover the Greek
Warships in their harbor.
Hence my title 'Armada of Geese'
Enjoy!

Cards....Secret Valentine
I did a sweet swap where we were assigned a secret valentine and were instructed to create a valentine and send to our secret valentine along with some goodies... I found a great vintage card on line and added some wonderful embellishments... ribbons, pearls, and Flower soft...a glitter pen added some final touches.....
The inside of the card I created with an EK Sucess Punch for the trailing valentines...glitter pen... a wonderful valentine saying printed on vellum
As a final touch on the back of the card a frilly
band and my information....
My secret valentine enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed making it!

Boys & Girls Club of Wallkill
April 8th was a fun night...Dinner with the Stars
to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Wallkill.
Each table had a celebrity server.
Ours was manned by Rory Brady who chose a Theme of Wild Thing portrayed orginally by Charlie Sheen in the movie. The baseball player Vaughn was an incredible
talent in the Movie....our Rory Brady is an incredible talent in his own right!
He hosted our table with good cheer and raised alot of money through the tips that we gave him.
Other tables had other Orange County Celebrities who chose ingenious themes of their own.
I would say a good time was had by all! Hopefully the money raised with benefit many many kids in
need.
Well done!

Summer Challenge ATC 2011
My ATC Group does Challenges several times a year as I posted a few days ago showing the results.
This time I took a picture of the "goodies" that were sent to create with.
I love the Victorian feel of everything!
"Vintage Blue & White". The group leader
sent us lovely pages (6) of empheria to work with! Love it all!!! Can't wait to see what I finally decide to use. Most of the Card should have the the empheria used on it and we can
add our own special touches and embellishments!
The color is what is most impressive to me!
I love BLUE....I don't always play favorites with my colours...blue is pretty special though!
Keep you posted on what I finally decide on a come up with as a finished product.....I may just keep it simple and do an assembly line, that requires me making multiple copies of what I determine to use...hmmmmm...decisions, decisions.....

Days End.....
There was sun yesterday! Did you see it???
I took this picture a few days back when we had some sun and a beautiful sunset.
As I was driving home after work I spotted this setting sunset through the trees while turning into my street. I was hopeful that it would come out well....the
layers of color were just amazing!
It made me happy! Enjoy!

ATC Challenge February 2011
My on line ATC (Artist Trading Cards) Group does a Challenge several times a year. In February our group leader Nina, sent us a package of goodies to use, every participant gets the exact same amount and type of goodies to use. The "mission" is to create ATC's using and incorporating the goodies and adding your own additional things if you choose to. We send them back in and they are "unveiled" as soon as our leader receives all the particpants offerings. We Send in 4 and get 4 different ones back The Group of four are the ones that I received in return. I always have to make one or two of what I submit for myself, so the lone one is my creation and submission. Isn't it cool to see the spin everyone puts on the same materials?!! This is one of my favorite swaps when we do them!
The Group is always looking for new members.
Interested in joining? Check them out on Yahoo and follow the directions for joining.
You will find the link to the left here in my
blog! It's a great group of artists and they are
all so talented and fun to trade with!

Interesting Necklace,...
I love creating interesting jewelry...however, I have an allergy to anything that isn't real gold when it touches my skin, That being said....I saw something like this in a store and decided to give it a whirl...it has a beautiful ribbon, great for me, no rashes etc breaking out on my neck and each of the pieces are made separately and then strung. I thought that my outcome was pretty cool and certainly more cost effective that what I found in the store....and once again...one of a kind! Work in a pair of earrings and a bracelet and you have a great ensemble for a special occassion. Interested in a lesson? krazy4kroppin@a0l.com

Man in the Moon
March 19th the Moon was the closest to the earth that is has been in a very long time...also
the brightest. If I remember correctly we won't see it this
way again for another 84 +/- years.....don't think I'll be around.
In any case it was very beautiful and I tried with my limited lens'
to take a picture....wasn't too
unhappy with my results given
my limitations.

Tranquil Waterfalls....
March 20th was an amazing Sunday....warm and sunny and a brilliant day to be out and about.
I have posted this waterfalls before as a winter scene frosty and frozen....here is the spring thaw....the cascading water was
like sparkling diamonds...the
sound of the water is very tranquil to me.
I didn't retouch this photo at all....I don't like "foamy" water I like to see it as it's running
and I think that it came out pretty good....I'm happy with it anyway.
