Storm King Art continued....

This amazing sculpture is called
"Luba"

It appears to have been created out
of a large piece of wood sculpted to look
like individual pieces placed together.

Luba ... another side.

I really liked this one!

Tranquil Wall

We have so many wonderful things to go and see here in Orange County!
I took the afternoon off from work to go
check out the Storm King Art Center.
This amazing wall which runs through the
campus is so cool, it winds its way down into
this pond .... across the pond and comes up the other side.
Fascinating! I just love it!
The outdoor sculpture is amazing as well....I will
be posting more of this in the days to come!

Another Beautiful Sunset

Another beautiful Sunset! It is so amazing to me that we can see the same view and yet is can be so changed just by the atmosphere and weather conditions!
This beautiful sunset was taken off my girlfriends deck...
I almost want her to sell me her house so I can see this everyday
myself!

Small Bridge

On one of my early morning
walks through the Mt. Carmel
Campus I found this little bridge.
How peaceful to perch on top and
watch the water running through
underneath you!

Great Blue Heron

I saw this guy the other day.
The storm must have drawn
him to a local pond. I wish
I had a larger lens so I could
get closer...who know a 300x
Zoom wouldn't be enough!

Book Marks

I pulled these out of my craft box
the other day. With the new Kindle
I am not ready as many "real" books,
but I do love book marks!

This one was made for Thanksgiving!

These were composed by
pieces of things I won at a
crop...great for making notes
on for upcoming projects!

More Water falls

No matter the size, I love waterfalls!
The tranquility of the running water
has such a calming effect. While this
little waterfalls doesn't quite size up
to the larger one on the Mt. Carmel
Campus....it's still just as pretty!

Farm

I pass this Farm several times
a week...the other night it was
just so pretty the way the
setting sun was hitting it.
I had to risk pulling off on the side
of the road to get this shot!

Alice in Wonderland!

Don't you just love a good play?! I do
especially when my friend Sarah has the
lead!
Yesterday afternoon many of us braved the
sweltering heat and attended the Alice in
Wonderland version of a one hour show
specifically designed to appeal to the younger
crowd.

All of the actors were wonderful
and should be commended for
performing in the heat!

The entire play was so well done!

We are very fortunate to have the
Lycian in our back yards!

The Theater Group, including my
friend Sarah do a wonderful job
of bringing a lovely play to us!
Here the many faces of Alice during
the play!

Almost time for her to wake up
and return to the garden~

Well done!!!

Super Mini Family Album

Here is a cute family Super Mini Album
which can be given to a family member or
members at a Holiday gathering~ my thought
was that it would work great for a college student
headed back to school, fill it with family pictures,
add a few flowers or other embellishments and I
used a quote about Family from Desmond Tutu
that I love

It is a cute little book that only requires three
sheets of Solid Card Stock, and one piece of
coordinating patterned paper.

All of the little flaps open giving you space for 21
pictures.
A score pal is helpful, if not you can score with your
trimmer. Quick and easy, cute to look at and filled
with family rememberances!

Sanctuary

On a recent visit to the grounds of
Mt. Carmel Priory...I came across this
lovely little place to stop and sit and
reflect, I thought it was perfect...just
right to sit on the small bench provided
in a very private spot and have some introspective
time to yourself!

The Tassel is worth the
Hassle!

It's all about the diploma!

House Mini Album

Still organizing my craft room
came across this little mini
album that I taught as a
class.

I loved this little album!
It was such fun! Decided
to make it in Monochromatic
colors using a lot of
Anna Griffin papers!

We had such fun putting it
together in class!

Love Anna Griffen Papers
they have such a lovely
delicateness about them!

Of course it helped that it was
sage! I like the color sage a lot!

This little book was all about
the family memories and my
students were eager to make
it as Christmas gifts that year!

Interested? E-mail me!

Canvas Mini

Did this mini canvas album
a few years ago. It was
actually a class that I took
for fun!

I think it was a really clever
different idea!

and not hard to do! Truly need
strong Adhesive though!

A very clever little book
though!

Monthly Mini Album

This little album is just too
cute! A couple of years ago
a paper line came out with
Monthly Paper that could
be cut up into 12 monthly
pieces....paste them onto
some chipboard, ink them up
Punch a hole and add a ring
and some great fiber and this

adorable little album which lives
in my craft room was created.
Simple, perfect and colorful =
Happy!

Iris Folded Cards...

I think that Iris folded
cards are just so pretty!
A little more work than
your average card, but
the effect is amazing!

This watering can uses
my favorite color ~ Blue.

This Rose has lovely shades
of pink and then green accents
for the corners.

I love this little basket
which has been Iris
folded and then we
add the flowers too
cute!

Fireworks

Chester had their fireworks
last night! I love fireworks!
The ewe's and ahh's still carry
over from childhood with me!

Thanks to one of my friends
I had an upfront view from
her deck.

This one is just 'Sparkle'

Giving the new camera a try
at doing this....dummy me
forgot to set it before it got
dark...still in all I don't
think they are too bad. I
took over a hundred pics
and only 20 made the cut

I love the cool orange smoke of
this one.

Of the Twenty maybe only two
will make it to print...we'll see.

I love this one and am calling
it Holy Smoke

This one will be known as
Red Smoke....I love the
volumes of red and puff
of smoke....

This one reminds me of
Allium the "onion" flower

All in all a good night to
have fun and enjoy!

Pocket Book ~ with Mini Book

I found this adorable pocketbook
to cover a while back. Decided to
use black and white compatible
papers, topped the handle off with
black and white ribbon, a fancy
button for the "clasp" and inside
a black and which mini album.
Cool, great as a gift or in my
case it's hangin in my craft room!

The Setting Sun....

I visited my girlfriend on Wednesday
night and the sunsets and views from her
deck are just amazing. I was able to catch
the slow decent of the sun as it sunk slowly
into a cloud below it....

little by little it drifted down....the glow
and the colors were amazing....
even the picture as pretty as it
is doesn't due it the justice that
I observed with my naked eye!

the last glimmer and shine as
it was fully behind the clouds,
Talk about serenity!
