Iris Folded Cards...

I think that Iris folded
cards are just so pretty!
A little more work than
your average card, but
the effect is amazing!

This watering can uses
my favorite color ~ Blue.

This Rose has lovely shades
of pink and then green accents
for the corners.

I love this little basket
which has been Iris
folded and then we
add the flowers too
cute!

Birthday Cards

I like Argyle. Socks, scarfs, sweaters whatever
form it comes in, so when I found some argyle
pattered paper it made for a great birthday card!
What fun, a nice everyday card. This particular
card had a few techniques... a punched out window
which sports a dangling tag and love of ink scruffing
it up. The little hat tag is also punched out and backed.
The soft colors make it a great card for anyone
on your birthday list!

Everyone loves cake! So having one
on your card is just right. I love the
color combination of pink and brown
and also the combination of green and
brown....putting them all together works
out well too!
Another great card for anyone on your list!

More Cards.....

Here is a simple layered card that ou can
use for any ocassion...like the stamping
and then the simple layering...add a
tag with a sentiment and you are all set!

This one is a cheery Hello, stamping on
top of an already stamped image, matted
laying and a cute ribbon stapled to the
sentiment gives you an easy quick card
to cheer someone with!

The "L" word!

Sometimes you just have to tell someone
you love them!

The Burgundy and Pink combination in
this card makes it work!

I used to stick cards like this in my
daughter's lunch box, just to let
her know I was thinking about
her during her school day. Of course
that only worked in Grammer
School....they get too big for that "stuff"
quickly.

One of my good friends moved away....

I try to keep in touch alot besides doing
the FB thing....it's nice to get mail
when you are in a new place!

Birthday Cards

June is a big birthday month for me....gotta have
a bunch of birthday cards on hand! This first one
is kind of cool. Have you ever thought of using
electrical tape and embossing it with your cuttlebug
or sizzix or maybe if you are lucky...your Tim
Holtz embossing machine? It works great
and the empressions are fun!

This card has an embellishment
that also used that tape and my
cuttlebug!

Layers and stamps and a great Make a
wish for either gender is created!
Love it!

All Ocassion Cards

Sometimes you just need to send a card...not for any particular reason...just a card. These beauties
are meant for just that....
I love the color combination of black and white
with a rose pink...simple stamped image which was
enhanced with a little glimmer pen and some
flock on the flowers. Just sweet.

I love Roosters (chickens) they make me happy...
Stamped Image was colored using chalks and then
sprayed to keep the color locked in....this one
makes me happy and has a summer feeling.

Need to cheer someone up with a little color...
this on should do the trick. Stamped image with
the added black and white with that lovely
bright lovely yellow! Just off setting the layers
gives it a different effect!

Child's Card

This card is just too cute! It was such fun to make! Great for a child's birthday or Christening or bris or any Child Ocassion!

The color is adaptable to boys or girls with different patterned paper and bow colors.

Mostly we make the cards for parents at this age, but if they are like most of us they wind up in a scrapbook for the memories even if the child doesn't realize it at the time!

Enjoy!

All Ocassion Card

This card is fun! Lot's of Techniques! Ever work with bleach in your stamping?

First choose a dark card background. Choose a stamp that has a large focal point and then a smaller stamp of a similar nature.

You have to work quickly and carefully with the bleach so as to not compromise your stamper, rubber and chlorine don't mix well. You also need cream bleach.

Stamp the smaller stamp on the card using the bleach as your ink. Watch as it pulls the ink color from the card! Cool right?

Next stamp the larger imprint on the card face letting it pull the color from the card as well. Clean your stamps immediately after using with the bleach in soap and water to preserve the rubber. Next, emboss with black embossing power over the dried "bleached" impression on the top of the card. After it has set...color with markers the places where you have it bleached within the embossed spots.

Layer, use alittle ribbon and there you have it....different right?!

Got to love the techniques it's what sets your work apart from the store bought cards!

More Mother's Day Offerings....

I love the soft colors of this card and the many layers and angles....These are colors my Mom loved... It is blank inside so you can just add your own sentiment or a poem you have found, whatever makes you happy...something that reflects your Mom...

This one would work great for Mother's day another one to add your own sentiment to.

Open it up and the fold reveals the sentiment...fun right?! I may have to use this technique again for another type of card!

Cards....Secret Valentine

I did a sweet swap where we were assigned a secret valentine and were instructed to create a valentine and send to our secret valentine along with some goodies... I found a great vintage card on line and added some wonderful embellishments... ribbons, pearls, and Flower soft...a glitter pen added some final touches.....

The inside of the card I created with an EK Sucess Punch for the trailing valentines...glitter pen... a wonderful valentine saying printed on vellum

As a final touch on the back of the card a frilly

band and my information....

My secret valentine enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed making it!
